Sustainably sourced, locally grown, and rooted in tradition.
As industrial food production becomes increasingly dependent on science and synthetic solutions, more people are seeking a return to real food — food grown with care, raised with respect, and deeply connected to the land and community. At Morden’s, organic is just the beginning.
For over 25 years, we’ve led a trusted cooperative of family farms, including Mennonite and Amish partners, working together the old-fashioned way — with integrity, transparency, and a shared commitment to nourishing people and the planet. Every farm is personally visited and vetted by us annually to ensure they uphold the highest standards of humane and sustainable practices.
Our meats and poultry are naturally raised without hormones, antibiotics, or animal by-products. Most use non-GMO feed, and we’re continually working to ensure all of our farmers follow this standard. Every product in our store is clearly labeled with its source and growing conditions — because you deserve to know where your food comes from.
We believe in traditional farming methods: pasturing animals, supporting local feed, and respecting nature’s rhythms. This results in healthier animals, healthier food, and a healthier you. These aren’t trends to us — they’re time-honoured principles that have always guided small-scale, local agriculture in Southern Ontario.
Morden’s helped pioneer the retail sale of pastured eggs in Ontario and continues to lead in offering organic and whole foods: from wild meats and artisanal dairy to unpasteurized honey, maple syrup, and gluten-free pies made with local ingredients.
